• Use a stool to stack and reach for items stored above your head.
• Leave several inches of space between the walls of your storage unit and your stored items to allow for ventilation.
• If you are storing gas-powered items, prevent unpleasant odors and danger by draining the tanks before you put them in your unit.
• Leave space for a center isle walk-thru. This will make access easier to your stored belongings.
• Outside items such as rakes, hoes, shovels and hoses can be stored together in empty trash cans. You can also stack extra cans inside one another for added strength.
